From a young age Jessica was determined to have a legal driven career. After high school, Jessica attended Seneca College’s Paralegal program. While Jessica loved the law and being quick as a whip to defend anyone within the limits of the law, she felt as though there were elements missing from what she needed out of her profession.

Shortly after finishing at Seneca College, Jessica came to Fort McMurray from Pickering, Ontario with her then boyfriend, now husband to start their lives together.  Over the past 16 years Jessica has grown into the life of Fort McMurray and created her adoring family of four.

Fort McMurray has given Jessica and not only a wonderful family life, but also the opportunity to explore herself professionally. Jessica always loved to teach and help others, especially those who had trouble navigating in life – whether that be a new co-worker or assisting someone with learning – Jessica was the first to step forward and offer any help she could. So naturally Jessica gravitated towards helping those with special needs, namely children. Shortly, after giving birth to her oldest daughter, Jessica completed her Special Needs Education certificate.

Prior to the pandemic, Jessica and her family lived a quiet life. The only family amongst her and her husband were all the way back east in Ontario and Newfoundland where they vacationed annually. In 2021, Jessica’s parents decided to retire and come to live in Fort McMurray. Naturally, Mom and Dad needed a REALTOR®. Jessica immediately suggested Joelle Fraser-McGaghey. Jessica and Joelle were originally co workers, turned friends, when they both began living in Fort McMurray all those years ago. For six months, Jessica worked with her parents and Joelle to find the perfect “forever” home. Jessica was going as far as staking out new listings with signs before they would even be marketed.

Over the course of the hunt it became apparent that Jessica held the motivation, charisma and skills to become a REALTOR® herself. Joelle dropped the hint a few times about Jessica joining her in real estate. Not long after Jessica's parents moved into their new home, did Jessica contact Joelle suggesting she dip her toes into the waters as her assistant. Which of course Joelle jumped at. Within a few short weeks of being professionally involved in the world of real estate, did Jessica decide to jump ship altogether and become a part of the same team at Seller Direct Northern Homes Realty.

Jessica partly thinks its fate that she wound up in real estate, but it is obvious that it is where she shines. With Jessica’s expertise in negotiating and contracts, along with her relatable, humble and compassionate attitude, she is able to help her clients navigate and enjoy this milestone of buying and selling a home.
