Services: Change - Transition Services
IS THE ‘FEAR’ OF CHANGE DRIVING YOUR WORKPLACE?
PEOPLE 1ST enable people to understand that some may respond positively or negatively to the perceived need to adapt or change their behaviour as a way to improve performance.
Adapting or changing behaviour may be seen as a threat by some people. For them, change means there’s a problem, and they are likely to respond with defensive behaviour.
Defensive behaviour maintains the status quo and perpetuates performance problems.
Other people, however, view change as an opportunity to learn and they respond with constructive behaviour.
This starts a cycle of growth. A positive response to change is key to establishing a process of development that supports lasting, sustainable change.
